What to Expect From Microneedling
During Your Treatment
Your treatment will begin with an assessment of your skin type and your goals. Following a thorough skin cleansing and the application of a topical numbing cream, we will then give you a general balancing or pain relieving acupuncture placement. From here, you will take a brief and calming acu-nap.
When your acupuncture physician returns, we will then begin your Microneedling treatment. The minuscule medical grade sterile needles are designed to penetrate your skin’s layers. This technique stimulates collagen production, encourages cellular regeneration, and optimizes the absorption of our tailor-made plant-based herbal stem cell serums.
Your practitioner will select the most suitable serum from our personalized range, tailored to your unique skin type. Rest assured, the procedure is typically painless and often likened to a gentle vibration. To finish, we will apply a soothing aloe mask and allow you a bit more time to rest.
After Your Treatment
After your session, your practitioner will take a moment to discuss post-treatment care with you and provide you with a vial of pure hyaluronic serum to use post-treatment. Once the numbing cream wears off, you might experience some slight tenderness, tightness, or a mild sunburn-like sensation for about 8-12 hours. To keep your face well-hydrated and comfortable during this time, make sure to apply the provided serum regularly.
Your skin may appear a bit blotchy and red for the first 1-2 days following the treatment, and you might notice mild flaking around days 3-5. It's important to apply sunscreen and minimize sun exposure during this period. We kindly request that you refrain from using makeup or any facial chemicals for at least 24 hours post-treatment. You must commit to using facial SPF 30+ and avoid sun exposure for 7 days post treatment and tanning/direct sunlight for 14 days.
The superficial damage to the epidermis created during the procedure allows the customized serums used during treatment and in the days that follow to penetrate the deeper layers of your skin. As your skin heals and new collagen is generated, you'll start to experience a tighter, lifted, and more radiant complexion.
